Today we appeared in a case before the Hon’ble High Court, Madras. In
general, all of citizens are having certain fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution of India. Whenever, any such fundamental right is being affected, every individual can seek remedy by invoking Article 226 of Constitution of India by way of filing writ petition before the Hon’ble High Courts. Accordingly, our client being affected by his fundamental right in getting electricity connection had approached the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, wherein, the Hon’ble Court having note down the circumstances of the case, has directed the authority concern to provide electricity connection within four weeks from today without insisting for any of documents as it was unwantedly claimed by the officer in its communication and further directed the authority to file the compliance report before the Hon’ble Court within one week therefrom.
