Legal Bricks handles sibling dispute

On 27.02.2017, in a criminal case, filed on behalf of our firm for accused, we succeeded in obtaining the stay of the criminal proceeding of the case. The case pertains to dispute between brothers to succeed a private charitable trust property. Two civil suits were pending before the courts of law between the brothers with regard to the title over the trust property but to take revenge against another brother, one of the brothers filed a criminal case. We took a stand and argued on behalf of the accused brother that the case is of civil nature and cannot be legally sustained and the remedy should be worked out only in the pending civil suits. Based on our arguments, the Hon’ble High Court of Madras granted interim stay of further proceedings in the criminal case.
